Next week’s Coronation Street spoilers reveal the aftermath of a tragic car accident.

Wednesday night’s episode left viewers in suspense as David Platt and Daisy Midgeley were victims of a shocking hit and run incident.

Earlier in the week, David had been threatened by Andy, who disclosed that Harvey Gaskell intended to kill David to cash in his life insurance policy to clear his debts. In response, David arranged for a hitman to run him over so his life insurance could cover his debts to mobster Harvey.

However, in an unexpected twist, pregnant Daisy stepped out of the pub just as the car targeted David, resulting in both characters being hit. The dramatic scenes saw both Daisy and David rushed to hospital, with David ending up in a coma.

There was also concern for Daisy’s unborn child. Despite an initial scan showing everything was fine, doctors later found she was bleeding, raising fears she may have lost her baby.

As fans anxiously await the outcome for David and Daisy in Friday’s episode, the ITV soap has hinted at what’s to come in next week’s spoilers, reports Leicestershire Live.

Tensions are set to rise in the forthcoming episodes as accusations fly following the dramatic crash. Detective Kit Green finds it hard to keep his composure when DS Lisa Swain breaks the news that Andy has been taken into custody, claiming the crash was merely a drunken mishap.

It comes as Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd appeared to give away what’s in store for his character David on Wednesday’s edition of This Morning.

On This Morning, veteran actor Jack, 37, offered a sneak peek into the nail-biting upcoming scenarios alongside soap correspondent Sharon Marshall, Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.

He then hinted at a significant plot twist, adding: “It would have been nice to kind of reach that milestone but… sadly, tonight’s the end, so… but I’ve loved every minute of it!”

The bombshell revelation left Sharon, Ben and Cat all stunned back in the studio as Ben asked: “Jack, is tonight the actual end for your character?” to which Jack replied: “Yeah! I can’t believe we’ve managed to keep it out for so long but I think everybody will enjoy it!”

Ben then asked: “Is he saying yes or no there Sharon?” to which the soap expert explained: “Well, I cannot say how it ends tonight, it has been kept under wraps but you’re definitely not filming today…

“You have come in on a day you’re not, he’s not filming, he has just come in! Has he just given us a massive bombshell?” to which Ben replied: “I think he might of!”
