Players who complained that Helldivers 2 is too easy are regretting their choices now as a new Terminid strain has been added to the game.

Over the past few weeks, many Helldivers 2 players have been complaining that the game has become too easy. It seems like Arrowhead Game Studios got tired of all the whining as it has unleashed a terrifying Terminid strain that Helldivers are struggling to defeat on the battlefield. The announcement has confirmed that these new enemies are very different from the regular Terminid units as they are much more intelligent and use different hunting techniques.

This was expected as the community was entirely focused on Illuminate and Automatons. However, no one expected the new wave to be so deadly, but it’s clear that this was done because Arrowhead was criticized recently for introducing weapons that made the game too easy.

An in-game message in Helldivers 2 recently revealed that a new Terminid strain called Predator Strain emerged on Fenrir III. Fortunately, the Helldivers were able to slow down the initial wave of these new enemies, however, they are continuing to spread like wildfire across the galaxy.
The current Major Order has ordered the players to liberate Fori Prime, so Super Earth could survey it for E-710. This is the second planet where players have encountered the new strain and it seems like it’s getting quite difficult for the community to take them down.
As compared to regular Terminid units, these evolved species are faster, stronger, and smarter, so players must be very careful while picking their loadouts. Like other Terminids, the Predator Strain is also weak against Shotguns like SG-8 Punisher or SG-451 Cookout, and for Stratagems, players should pick sentries like A/G-16 Gatling Sentry or the A/MG-43 Machine Gun Sentry. Apart from all this, make sure you equip this one weapon that is indirectly responsible for all these mutations within the Terminid faction.

The aforementioned weapon is the GP-31 Ultimatum pistol that was added as a part of the Servants of Freedom Premium Warbond. This powerful secondary weapon is capable of inflicting 4,500 damage, allowing it to destroy structures like Detector Towers, Jammers, Science Labs, and Fabricators in a single shot. Shortly after this weapon was added to the game, many players pointed out that it had made the game too easy.
It seems like Arrowhead was just dropping a hint that the game is about to become a lot more difficult as all the enemy factions are slowly making progress, leaving many wondering if Super Earth is even capable of winning this battle. On top of this, more Illuminate enemies are yet to join the game, so players shouldn’t take things so lightly.
