Taylor Swift Reportedly Renovating Rhode Island Home to Raise Family With Travis Kelce

She’s making her house a home! Taylor Swift is reportedly renovating her mansion in Rhode Island in order to create the ideal place to raise a family with boyfriend Travis Kelce.

“This is going to be her main home base and where she and Kelce will hopefully raise a family one day,” an insider told the New York Post in an article published on Wednesday, January 15.

The “All Too Well” singer, 35, is planning to invest $1.7 million into renovations at her Watch Hill estate, according to an article published by Providence Journal on Tuesday, January 14. A building permit viewed by the outlet stated that Taylor will be adding at least one new bedroom to the 11,000 square foot home, along with multiple bathrooms. The documents revealed that the Miss Americana star’s kitchen will also undergo some renovations. Permits for the renovations were purchased in late 2024 and construction is set to be allowed through December of this year.

Taylor first purchased the home in 2013. Throughout the years, the Grammy winner has hosted several parties, including her famous Fourth of July shindigs that featured several celebrity guests like Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Tom Hiddleston and more. The home was also the inspiration for her song, “the last great american dynasty.”

Travis, 35, and Taylor sparked romance rumors after the NFL star attempted to shoot his shot with the “Karma” singer when she performed at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, in July 2023. He had planned to give Taylor his phone number on a friendship bracelet but later found out that she doesn’t speak to anyone before or after her shows in an effort to preserve her voice. However, Cupid’s arrow ultimately found the two and they publicly confirmed their relationship in September 2023.

Both Taylor and the Grotesquerie star have been open about publicly supporting one another at their respective games and performances. Taylor’s been spotted attending multiple Kansas City Chiefs games to cheer on her man, while Travis traveled the world to sing along with the “Blank Space” singer in the crowd at her Eras tour.

Taylor recently finished up her historic run with the Eras tour after almost two years on the road. The “New Heights” podcast host celebrated the end of her tour by throwing her a surprise Eras-themed party to celebrate her 35th birthday. A few of Taylor’s close friends shared photos from the bash, including fellow Chiefs WAG Brittany Mahomes. Guests donned outfits honoring their favorite “era” of Taylor’s music with Brittany, 29, wearing a silver fringed dress with sparkly boots to represent the Fearless album. Brittany’s husband, Patrick Mahomes, wore a black tuxedo and a top hat to symbolize The Tortured Poets Department.

The “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” artist has been looking forward to some downtime after being on the road for so long, and a source exclusively told Life & Style that she’s excited about what’s to come.

“After 21 months on the road and a year-and-a-half with Travis, Taylor is ready for this next chapter to begin with the love of her life,” the insider revealed. “They have a lot to look forward to, and they couldn’t be more excited about it.”
