The season 26 champion has plans for his new music — and the Grammy winner is helping him out.
It’s only been a week since Sofronio Vasquez was declared the winner of The Voice season 26, and he already has plans for what’s next — and how it includes his coach,Michael Bublé.
The Filipino singer emerged victorious on the most recent season of the NBC competition series, and as a prize, he won $100,000 and a recording contract with Universal Music Group. Even though Sofronio only just won The Voice, he shared with Parade he already has plans on how to kickstart his music career.
As it turns out, Sofronio has a lot of ideas in motion — and he’s working with Michael on them. He even shared how his coach is helping him find people to work with on his music, since he’s interested in songwriting but may need some help in one particular department.
“I tried writing songs, but English is not my first language,” he told the outlet in an interview published on December 12. “So, I would really love to hook up with a collaborator. Of course, with Michael Bublé’s idea, he knows who are the perfect people to be connected to and to be talking to. I’m going to trust in them, but, of course, I have a really good vision about my music so I’m so excited to be working on that.”
