Zendaya debuted a diamond ring on her left-hand ring finger at the 2025 Golden Globes, sending fans into a frenzy with speculation that she and Holland might be engaged. The actress didn’t walk the carpet with the Spider-Man actor and didn’t address the ring, leaving the piece of expensive jewelry to do the talking. Shortly after, TMZ reported that several sources confirmed Zendaya and Tom Holland got engaged over the holidays.

According to the outlet, the Uncharted actor popped the question last year between Christmas and New Year’s Eve at Zendaya’s family home. The event was reportedly a “very intimate setting,” and he didn’t go for a huge show, opting for something intimate between the two of them. With awards seasons on the way, Zendaya found the best way to reveal the news.

Right before the holidays, Holland revealed during an interview on the Dish podcast he would be spending Christmas in the U.S. with the Euphoria actress and her family. “I’ll be with my girlfriend’s family, which will be fun. Where we’ll be is a secret. [Secret] to you guys,” he added. “I’ll know where we’re going.”

The fashionista actress walked down the carpet in an orange copper Louis Vuitton strapless column gown, with a pleated, voluminous train that added a dramatic flair to the gown. As expected, she continued the same trend for her shoes, opting for a pair of custom Luis Vuitton pumps in the same burnt orange shade as the dress for a cohesive look. She accessorized with silver jewelry, including a big Bvlgari necklace, which made everyone speculate about the ring on her ring finger, as it featured a gold band that clashed with the rest of the outfit. Eagled-eyed fans also noted that the actress seemingly sported her first tattoo that looked like a “T,” from her boyfriend’s name.


The ring is reportedly a 5.02-carat East-West Cushion Diamon Button Back Ring, from London-based jeweler Jessica McCormack, with a reported $200k+ price tag. Several fans online also highlighted how Zendaya seemingly showed off the ring to several celebrities at the ceremony.

Tom Holland and Zendaya Have Been Together Since 2021

Tom Holland and Zendaya, affectionately known as Tomdaya, met while filming the Spider-Man films, as the actor plays the titular character and Zendaya plays Michelle “MJ” Jones. The two became friends immediately on set but denied any rumor of a relationship. The two shared their first kiss in 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, and, a couple of years later, in real life.

The couple was spotted kissing in a car in July 2021, confirming their romance. The two have been private about their relationship but didn’t miss an opportunity to be each other’s biggest supporters. Just recently, Holland highlighted in a Men’s Health interview that he doesn’t walk the red carpet with his girlfriend at her premieres to avoid putting the spotlight on them as a couple instead of her. He explained that it’s “because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.”

The power couple is set to reunite on the big screen again in Spider-Man 4, set for release on July 24, 2026, and also Christopher Nolan’s upcoming star-studded film, The Odyssey, with a premiere date one week earlier, on July 17, 2026.
