STOP wasting time on Whispers! 🛑 This hidden “Goblin Dungeon” glitch is the ultimate Corrupted Roots farm! 🔥
Everyone is grinding boring Whispers for Corrupted Roots, but the real goldmine is hiding in plain sight—and it’s infinite. By exploiting a reset loop in the secret Goblin Dungeon, you can farm the end boss repeatedly, stacking Corrupted Roots, Mythic Tributes, and rare endgame loot in minutes.
The best part? You don’t have to clear a single Whisper cache. Blizzard hasn’t patched this exploit yet, but you need a friend to pull it off.

In the Lord of Hatred expansion for Diablo IV, Corrupted Roots have quickly become one of the most sought-after resources. Valued at nearly 1 billion gold per unit in player trading, these items are essential for endgame activities, ancestral gear farming, and rapid experience leveling. While the intended method—completing Whisper Caches—is notoriously slow, a newly discovered “infinite reset” exploit is allowing players to farm them at an unprecedented pace.
Bypassing the Whisper Grind
Players have identified that the end boss of the secret Goblin Dungeon has a drop chance for Corrupted Roots comparable to a Whisper Cache. By effectively farming this boss, players can accumulate a large quantity of roots in a fraction of the time it takes to complete traditional Whisper objectives.
However, the challenge lies in accessing and resetting the dungeon. To start, players must utilize the Greed is Good node from the War Plans system, which offers a small chance for a portal to a Goblin Dungeon to spawn upon killing a treasure goblin.
The Infinite Reset Loop
Once a portal is found, the exploit requires coordination between two players at different Torment difficulty levels. The process works as follows:
Dungeon Entry: Clear the initial Goblin Dungeon and defeat the boss.
Portal Reset: The player in the original group uses their town portal and re-enters, effectively resetting the dungeon.
Difficulty Syncing: A friend, set to a different Torment difficulty level (e.g., Torment 11 if the host is at 12), joins the group.
Group Leaping: By rotating who leaves the group, the players can force the game to constantly generate a fresh, reset version of the Goblin Dungeon for both participants. This allows for continuous boss kills without needing to hunt for new portals.
High-Value Returns
The payout for this method extends far beyond just Corrupted Roots. During these infinite runs, players have reported collecting:
Mythic Tributes: Essential for farming Mythic Uniques in the Kurast Undercity.
Mephisto Keys: Used for unlocking high-tier chests post-boss fight.
Crafting Materials and Gold: Facilitated by the high density of goblins and the speed of the boss kills.
Community Perspective on Exploits
While the community is embracing this method to optimize their endgame, it serves as another example of players finding creative ways to circumvent what they perceive as “tedious” or “time-wasting” game design. Critics of the current Lord of Hatred endgame argue that if the legitimate path to obtaining essential resources requires such repetitive, slow-paced grinds, then “exploit-driven” play becomes an inevitability for the competitive player base.
As of now, Blizzard has not officially addressed the Goblin Dungeon reset loop. Players looking to capitalize on this are advised to act quickly, as such efficient farming methods are prime candidates for future hotfixes.
