Amid the massive legal trouble of Sean “Diddy” Combs, the superstar Taylor Swift’s name has come up on social media platforms. Recently, a post popped up on Facebook, on Saturday, November 16, 2024. A page with the username (@Celebrity Car Lovers) shared a post in which they wrote:

“Travis Kelce refused the gift Taylor Swift bought yesterday after learning she slept with Diddy. Travis Kelce is planning to break up and has deleted all of their photos on social networks.”

The post gained massive traction on the internet with more than 4.5k likes and over 3k comments under it. While some users commented that the news was fake, many seemed to have believed it.

It is, however, a fake piece of news that the page had shared. Upon going through the Facebook page, several fake posts and news could be seen. A lot of them appear to be ai-generated and sensationalized and are related to the diddy scandal. Thus, it is safe to conclude that the speculation is untrue.

This speculation came up a few weeks after a video of Taylor Swift stating that Combs was among her dream prom dates, had resurfaced. The conversation happened back in 2011, when the popstar made an appearance on Rachel Ray. She further spoke about Combs then and said:

“Diddy’s really always been very nice to me. He’s a gentleman, isn’t he? He’s a lovely gentleman.”

It should, however, be noted that the statement was made a long time before the allegations against Combs came up.

As for the rumor that has surfaced on social media, other significant publications too haven’t covered any information mentioned there. There’s also no strong evidence to corroborate Combs had such a relationship with Taylor Swift.

This wasn’t the first time that the popstar’s name was connected to Combs. Earlier in October, a rumor was spread by another Facebook page with the username (Football Focused News), in which they claimed that Swift had admitted “to having done immoral things with Diddy.”

Politifact, however, later confirmed that it was a rumor and that Swift didn’t admit to any such incident. No credible news sources or public statements suggesting the same were found, thus, proving that the claims were untrue and to be debunked.

The outlet further reported that the post was further flagged as Meta was trying to prevent misinformation from getting circulated across the internet.

As for the current rumor spread, according to which Travis Kelce declined a gift from Swift, it is important to note that post Diddy’s legal troubles, many celebrities’ names were dragged into rumors on social media.

Combs currently is being detained at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, after his arrest in September. He is already facing some charges including s*x trafficking, racketeering, and facilitating prostitution.

The mogul had also reportedly been facing more than 120 lawsuits against him where complainants have accused him of s*xually assaulting them.
