There are just a few hours to go before Assassin’s Creed Shadows is finally released worldwide but fans have one last chance to get their hands on a free download ahead of the launch.

It has been a long time coming but the next instalment in the Assassin’s Creed is finally here following multiple delays and a whole lot of backlash.

However, it seems as though Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set to be worth the wait and our very own Ewan Moore gave the latest Ubisoft adventure an impressive 9/10 in his recent review.

As well as being released across all platforms, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is also Steam Deck verified and will be heading to the handheld on 20 March.

However, ahead of its launch, players now have the chance to pre-purchase the game on Steam in order to grab the ‘Claws of Awaji’ expansion for absolutely free.

In this expansion, players will get to travel to a distinctive region – the island of Awaji – to reclaim a lost treasure and face some deadly new foes.

With a brand-new weapon to master as well as new skills, gear, and over 10 hours of additional content, Claws of Awaji will be available later this year.
