While these powers were meant to make players more powerful, it seems that two of them specifically were a bit overtuned, which allowed players to deal an intense amount of damage. Blizzard released a statement via their forums to discuss the issue, stating that for now, the two powers in question will be disabled while they work on a fix.

There Will Be Fixes Rolling Out Soon

At the time of writing, Blizzard has yet to give a date for the return of the two Witchcraft Powers, but they do state that they are still purchasable in-game. While the development team works on a fix for the over-tuning, they advise that players do not purchase the powers until they are enabled once again, as they will not be able to equip them nor will they receive them at this time. They state that the fixes will begin rolling out next week via a hotfix, but mention this may not be plausible and may have to release a client patch after 2.1.1 is released.
Other Diablo 4 Features Are Getting Bug Fixes In The Coming Days
Necro And Barb Will Also Be Fine-Tuned

Alongside the known Witchcraft Power bugs came the revelation of even more issues with specific classes, which, for the Diablo 4 community, is not shocking information. Necromancer players noticed an issue with the Ring of Mendeln and its “interactions with minion builds”, which will be getting a fix with update 2.1.2. Barbarian players, however, will see a fix for the Mantle of Mountain’s Fury during the next season. While the bug was initially “fixed” in the previous patch, it seems that the numbers are still inconsistent, which means another fix will come later on down the line.
While Diablo 4 fans are no strangers to bugs, extremely powerful builds being exploited, and patches galore, it seems this time around Blizzard took action rather quickly with the Witchcraft Powers. Hopefully, the fix for these exploits does come next week as planned, but only time will tell whether Blizzard can get their ducks in a row in time.
