No matter what, we’ll defend Georgia Miller. We support women’s rights (and wrongs). But one person who knows the Ginny and Georgia character better than anyone, is Brianne Howey. The actress has been playing Georgia for years, and knows her inside and out.
Does she agree with some of the terrible things Georgia has done? What are Georgia’s true motives? Is she deserving of our unwavering support? I mean, she has literally killed three people.
Across various interviews, Brianne Howey has spoken about her Ginny and Georgia character. Here’s everything she’s had to say about the woman who is, Georgia Miller.

Brianne Howey thinks Georgia has ‘narcissistic qualities’
Since season one, there’s been a big discussion of whether Georgia is a narcissist. Paul called her the “most selfish person he’s ever met” during season three, and there have been lots of questions of if Georgia has a lack of empathy, or a heightened view of herself.
In a chat with Forbes, Brianne said her character has “narcissistic qualities” but at the same time, is “the type of narcissist who is capable of change.” She later answered the simple, yet so so complex, question of if Georgia is a good mother, and said: “I think so, yes.”
‘Georgia is obsessed with Ginny’
Interestingly, Brianne Howey told Cosmo she thinks a lot of how Georgia behaves, particularly in season three, is down to an obsession with her daughter, Ginny. “Ginny became her identity. That’s why she has no boundaries. That’s why she’s so obsessed with her. That’s why she’s so possessive over her,” Brianne said.
“Georgia was on a really destructive path and has been through a lot of trauma. I think Ginny saved her life.”
‘Georgia wants nothing more than to protect her kids’

via Netflix
Speaking with Cosmo as season three dropped, Brianne spoke of Georgia’s primary goal in life. It’s clear, her kids Ginny and Austin are her world.
“Georgia wants nothing more than to protect her kids and keep her family together,” Brianne said. “It’s the same with Ginny at the end of the season. This season is so much about the lengths you go to for your loved ones. But it does pose some other questions. Are Ginny and Georgia better off together or apart? Is it really them against the world? This season made me miss Georgia’s feistiness and her sass and her controlling abilities and her playing chess with everyone.”
‘I used to think of Georgia as extra extreme, but maybe I think of her as a touch less so’
Brianne said that having children herself has helped her to understand Georgia as a character a bit more. “We all want Georgia to chill out a little bit, give Ginny some space, take a breather,” she said.
“That being said, now that I’ve had my daughter, I’m not giving her any space, no. I’m gonna force that child to be my best friend forever. I understand Georgia’s obsession more. Your kids are your everything. I would do anything for my daughter. I used to think of Georgia as extra extreme, but maybe I think of her as a touch less so.”
Georgia is ‘confident’ and ‘thinks she’s the slickest one in the room’

via Netflix
Speaking with Collider, Brianne gave an overview of Georgia’s personality. She said: “Georgia always thinks she’s the slickest one in the room. Georgia’s a few steps ahead of everyone. I think Georgia’s very confident in her street smarts. I think she’s very insecure, maybe, about her book smarts, but I think she feels very confident in being a conwoman. But I think she would say her own strength – it changes.”
In a further interview with Hollywood Reporter, Brianne described her character as “such an extreme person” and added: “She’s manipulating, she’s controlling, she’s four steps ahead.” She also described her as a “very resilient woman”.
What does Brianne think of Georgia killing Tom?
Season three is all about Georgia being on trial for the murder of Tom, Cynthia’s husband. Tom was dying, and Georgia is said to have thought she would be helping Cynthia, by ending his life. But, does Brianne buy that as Georgia’s real motive?
“I feel like what I learned about Georgia is that Georgia is a little naive still,” she told Collider. “Georgia very genuinely – or this is how I was playing it – very genuinely thought she was helping Cynthia. Like, 100 per cent, nothing about that to Georgia felt like she was menacing or hurting Cynthia in any capacity.
“She felt like she was really doing her a solid. Georgia’s like, ‘Why don’t you see that this was a good thing that happened for you?’ And then in the private moment, it’s Georgia realising that she messed up. She made a mistake.”
