When playing a game like Fallout 4, it’s worth checking every possible access point several times over before declaring there’s no shortcut.
More often than not, there’s an easier way of getting to a hard to reach destination.
Unfortunately for some Fallout 4 players, this realisation came late in the game.
Reaching the USS Constitution, after discovering her, isn’t an easy task.
There are a lot of ways you can fall and die in a bid to board the vessel.
However, once you’ve discovered the ship, there’s a simple means of getting to and from this lofty spot.
For those who’ve yet to locate this ship, it’s high up, perched atop a building. I would say spoilers, but the game has been out for almost 10 years.
The USS Constitution has a lifeboat that’s been repurposed as an elevator, helping to make moving between the ground and above much faster.
Unfortunately for Bethesda fan isthatafrogg, they overlooked this shortcut for quite some time. As you’d expect, their frustration at having done so shows.
They said, “Bro, WHY AM I FINDING THIS OUT NOW?!?!”
To emphasise their point, they provided a clip of them using said lift for the first time.
Although they’re clearly annoyed about missing this feature, they’re also not alone in being shocked to learn the USS Constitution has this handy access point.
“Omfggggg, the amount of times I ran my way up the inside of that damn ship,” Aggravating-Pen-4251 responded.
There are several comments of a similar nature throughout the thread.
More shockingly, there’s one individual who commented, “There’s a pirate ship..?”
Obviously, this could be a sarcastic post rather than a genuine question. That said, imagine if this is the first they’re learning of the USS Constitution.
If nothing else, it proves how easy these in-game details are to miss.
