“How much longer must we endure?” is a question that I imagine hangs from the lips of many a Fallout fan.
As much as it pains me to say it, I don’t have an answer that’ll offer you any real solace.
Fallout 5 simply isn’t set to land anytime soon.
Bethesda is hard at work developing The Elder Scrolls VI and if the studio is going to get distracted by anything else, it’ll assuredly be Starfield’s rumoured second expansion.
The Elder Scrolls VI itself remains some way off from release, so if development isn’t set to start on Fallout 5 until after that … you can see why we might be looking at a next-gen title.
Of course, there are other things that can keep us busy.
Fallout 76 has recently welcomed two major updates, ‘Skyline Valley’ and ‘Gleaming Depths’, and season two of Prime Video’s Fallout TV show is in the midst of filming.
Fallout 4 hasn’t exactly welcomed anything brand-new since the launch of its new-gen patch last year, but there are likely plenty of discoveries still to be made by players who have yet to comb every inch of the game’s map – including this underwater secret.
A hidden underwater area was located by Reddit user PurpleAd3134 which you can track down yourself in the lake that lies beside Natick Banks.
There you’ll find a hidden steamer trunk, which you can view in the OP’s tutorial video below.
I had no idea this existed and I’m guessing I won’t be alone in that. It’s hardly an obvious location.
As user Impressive-Cause-872 points out, you’ll be better off chasing down this locale if you’re equipped with the Aquaboy/Aquagirl perk, otherwise the water will do some nasty radiation damage as it did to the OP.
That being said, it’s nothing a bit of RadAway won’t fix.
“Wow. Must go look now,” replied turtle0831.
What other lesser-known finds await us?
