GTA VI fans are being pushed over the edge from a screenshot and are desperate for a new update from Rockstar Games.
Before 2024 ended, fans of the Grand Theft Auto series were hoping they’d get the second trailer for GTA VI. After all, it’s now been well over a year since the first trailer for the highly anticipated title dropped.
Alas, we’re now a couple of days into 2025, and it seems like we’re no closer to learning new details about GTA VI. We can only take comfort in knowing that GTA VI will be released later this year, assuming the game isn’t delayed.
So understandably, Grand Theft Auto fans are taking whatever they can get until Rockstar Games throws us a bone, even if it’s just a screenshot from the original GTA VI trailer.
“This frame is the closest thing we have to a gameplay update,” claimed Reddit user KekanKok, sharing a screenshot from the GTA VI trailer in question.
The screenshot shows the back of a pickup truck driving through a ghetto, seen 27 seconds into the trailer. It is believed that in a trailer that seemingly features mostly in-engine scenes, this particular moment may be one of the few snippets of gameplay from GTA VI so far.
“Lmao. Not laughing at you. Laughing at how we’re all becoming,” said CalligrapherFalse511, alluding to us all being desperate for Rockstar Games to release GTA VI trailer two.
“I wonder if those electrical wires will be interactive, imagine getting your plane/vehicle tangled up in it from a stunt jump,” asked EntrepreneurAny6399.
“We’re pretending like we’re playing now. Vrroooom vroom!! Skrrrrrrrrr!!! “Hey buddy, watch it,” joked EldritchTruthBomb.
At the time of writing, Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released later this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The inevitable PC release hasn’t been revealed, yet.
