Although you can choose to follow the path of a dark wizard in Hogwarts Legacy, this new free download allows you to become the Dark Lord himself and it is as hilarious as you would expect.

Released in 2023 and becoming the best-selling game of the year, Hogwarts Legacy has taken a bit of a backseat in recent years due to its lack of any meaningful content.

However, with the news that Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. are working on both expanding Hogwarts Legacy and working on a sequel, it won’t be long before we see some more of its Harry Potter-related content.

For now, however, players are relying on mods which allow players to access all types of brand-new content.

From quests that see you deal with some pesky goblins to one that introduces your deadliest foe yet, the Hogwarts Legacy impressive modding community has you covered and now, there is one dedicated to the Dark Lord himself.

Courtesy of creator Bangzew over on Patreon, players will now have the chance to play Hogwarts Legacy as Voldemort both in his final form or as he looked as Tom Riddle.

Some gameplay footage was recently shared to r/HarryPotterGame with the user saying: “Playing as Voldemort is hilarious and awesome.

If you want to play as him too I have the files (and Tom Riddle).

This mod was on Bangzew’s Patreon.”

However, the user does go on to reveal that they are unsure if this mod works with the official PC Modding Update which was added to Hogwarts Legacy last month.

That being said, if you wanted to fully immerse yourself in the full Voldemort experience, a fellow Reddit user claims that there is another mod which you definitely need to grab.

There is another mod, if you can get it, that replaces the standard Avada Kedavra line with Voldemort’s ‘WHAAAAVADA KEDAVRAAAAA” from the movies.”
