This sword isn’t just any weapon—it’s a game-changer. Ready to unleash its full potential? 💥

The world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is filled with as much danger as wonder, and atop all of that, a more than heavy dose of realism. A realistic RPG like KCD2 doesn’t have a ‘chosen one’ meant to save the realm, or even spells, enchantments or any other form of magic. In this grounded RPG, all players have to navigate Bohemia, and the dangers found therein are Henry, their skills, their wit, and whatever gear they find along the way. Thankfully, the latter can be found through various means, including bartering, thievery, and, most commonly, scavenging. But there are few pieces that stand above the rest, and among those, only one that truly gives players a keen edge in their travels: Radzig’s sword.
Radzig Kobyla’s Longsword is the Best in the Game
A Weapon Like No Other in Bohemia

Radzig’s sword, or Sir Radzig’s Kobyla’s sword, is a weapon that any fan of Kingdom Come: Deliverance will know. Not only is it the first weapon players come across, but also the first one that they’re able to wield. In fact, it is the very first weapon Henry and his father forged in the first KCD game. Even at first glance, it is a weapon like no other. Forged with keen craftsmanship and fine steel, it is a weapon as beautiful as it is deadly.
Radzig’s sword is one of the most unique and deadly weapons in the series
It was first introduced in the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance game
The sword is a driving force behind much of Henry’s actions
As its name suggests, Radzig’s sword was made for Sir Radzig himself. It was meant to be delivered to him before the tragic events of the infamous Skallitz raid, the very same raid that changed Henry’s life forever.. Players of the first game will know all of this information, along with the fact that this sword was stolen from Henry twice over. They will also know that this same sword, along with the Skallitz raid, is the catalyst for a great deal of Henry’s actions and character, putting him on the path of adventure and striving for justice, honor, and vengeance.
During the events of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the sword is stolen, and Henry vows to himself to find it, no matter how long it takes. And thankfully, it doesn’t take that long at all, chronologically speaking anyway. In Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, days after the first game’s conclusion, Henry is able not only to find but also reclaim Radzig’s sword, and with it also claim vengeance on someone who wronged him.
Getting Sir Radzig’s Sword Involves Completing a Story Quest Much Later in the Game
Claiming Justice, Vengeance, and Honor

As stated earlier, reclaiming Sir Radzig’s sword involves hours of playing through KCD2‘s main story. Specifically, it involves the quest “Storm”. During Storm, Henry, along with his compatriots, is captured by the same Istvan Toth who turned traitor in the first game and stole Radzig’s sword, making him another name to be added to Henry’s list of comeuppance. Thanks to a friendly and familiar face, Henry and his friends are freed, and Henry himself is tasked with both finding crucial orders and, to his approval, killing Istvan Toth.
Getting Radzig’s sword involves hours through KCD2‘s main storyline
Through the Storm quest, players can reclaim the sword
Sneaking through Trosky Castle, players will find Istvan atop the Crone Tower. After a tense cutscene, players are given a list of options to choose from concerning Istvan, including how he dies. He can be killed dishonorably, in a fair fight, or players can ask him some questions before either option is taken. Honorably or dishonorably, Istvan is killed and thrown from the tower, and Henry regains Sir Radzig’s sword, or Radzig Kobyla’s longsword, as it is known now in the sequel.
Radzig’s Sword Can Be Made Into an Even Better Weapon
Working the Steel With No Mistakes

Radzig Kobyla’s longsword, formidable as it is, can be made to be even more formidable. This can be done through blacksmithing, one of the crafting methods found within KCD2. Through blacksmithing, along with gaining three pieces of Toledo Steel, not to mention making as few mistakes as possible during the crafting process, players can make a new and improved weapon: the aptly named Reforged Radzig Kobyla’s sword. This increases the weapon’s stats even more and places it among the highest of KCD2‘s weapons.
But even at this height of supreme weaponry, there is an even higher echelon. One that can only be obtained by players who have invested heavily into the blacksmithing skill line; specifically, they must have obtained the ‘Martin’s Secret Craftsmanship’ perk. This, along with the Toledo Steel, will allow players to forge an even better weapon.
Radzig’s sword can be made even better with blacksmithing
With three pieces of Toledo Steel, it can be made into the Reforged Radzig Kobyla’s sword
With three pieces of Toledo Steel and ‘Martin’s Secret Craftsmanship’ perk, it can be made into Henry’s Sword Reforged, the best weapon in the game
However, the process to do so must be done perfectly, as there cannot be any mistakes made during smithing. If all of this is done right, then players will be gifted from their hard work with a new sword, one that stands at the highest among all other weapons in the game: Henry’s Sword Reforged. However it’s made, Radzig’s sword stands out as one of the best weapons in the game, and the same goes for being one of the most ornate.
It involves hours of working through a long, albeit amazing storyline, but regaining this weapon is a must for any KCD player. And for Henry himself? It is as much a vendetta as it is a promise. A promise to regain all that was taken from him and bring justice to those who have wronged him. With Radzig’s sword, that’s a promise made all the easier to keep.
