Netflix fans are raving over a ’10/10′ new comedy after binge-watching every single episode – and already demanding a second series.
The Four Seasons, created by American comedian Tina Fey, was released on the streaming platform last Thursday – to the delight of viewers.
The eight-part series is based on the 1981 romcom film of the same name, which stars Alan Alda, Carol Burnett and Rita Moreno, and follows three married couples from New York City who holiday together every season of the year.
The 2025 TV adaptation, starring Tina Fey, Steve Carell and Colman Domingo, also centres on three couples going on seasonal holidays together – but when one divorces, it prompts them all to reevaluate their own love lives.
Tina, known for her hilarious work on 30 Rock, has given the show a flavour of the beloved sitcom, writing The Four Seasons with 30 Rock staff writers Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield.
And the work of Tina, also the brains behind Mean Girls, seems to have paid off, with fans taking to X to rave about the hilarious comedy, the Mirror US reports.

One viewer dubbed it ’10/10′ – while another said: ‘The Four Seasons was such a good, fun, well-written watch. I need them to green-light season two immediately.’
Someone else said they were ‘loving it’: ‘Tina Fey and the entire cast has my heart! Have you binged it yet?’
Another had definitely taken their advice, saying: ‘We just binged Four Seasons. So good.’
One user added: ‘The Four Seasons on Netflix is absolutely brilliant. Good comedy after a long time. Haven’t seen the Alan Alda original but I must.
‘Somehow Will Forte reminds me of Alan Alda. He is my favourite but the others are brilliant. Do watch people.’
Someone else implored fellow Netflix fans to watch too: ‘The Four Seasons on Netflix is kind of great. Why aren’t we talking about this?’
The show also takes inspiration from the original 1981 film in its use of Antonio Vivaldi’s 18th-century classical music pieces The Four Seasons as the show’s soundtrack – which this commenter noted: ‘Vivaldi is a bonus.’
It has received widespread critical praise too, with an impressive 77 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes.

It has been dubbed a real ‘comfort show’ – while also not being ‘afraid to pull you out of your comfort zone a bit’
It has been dubbed a real ‘comfort show’ – while also not being ‘afraid to pull you out of your comfort zone a bit’, as reviewed by Digital Spy.
The site added the programme ‘hit viewers with a surprise cold snap before settling back into the snug warmth that only family can bring, chosen or otherwise’.
The Guardian gave it high praise by saying it matched the high quality of Mike White’s smash hit anthology series The White Lotus.
Their review said: ‘Part White Lotus without fatalities, part Gilmore Girls on HRT or Golden Girls with men, The Four Seasons is Fey and her writing and acting ensembles on fine form, everything informed by her rigorous intelligence, wit and experience.
‘Rest your aching bones and enjoy.’
But it is not all just played for laughs, the critics have said, with something more profound at the centre of the hilarious show.
The Independent noted the show was ‘something of a delight’: ‘Life – and its relationships – might eschew easy metaphors but Fey, like Alda and Vivaldi before her, has captured the subtle changes in temperature that moderate the climate of human existence.’
While The Four Seasons has proven a major success, another big Netflix show is facing the axe – Holly Willoughby’s new programme Celebrity Bear Hunt.

The second series of the jungle adventure show, which was held in Costa Rica, is yet to be approved despite several meetings.
It has been reported the show, which proved to be a hit with viewers and critics, needs to have mega-budget cuts if it is to return ,with hosts Holly, 44, and Bear Grylls, 50, likely to face pay cuts.
A cheaper location is also being sought, as well as plans for fewer expensive celebrities after the likes of Spice Girl Mel B and tennis player Boris Becker were among the 12 stars in the first series.
Other celebrities that took part included Lottie Moss, Danny Cipriani, Big Zuu, Joe Thomas, Kola Bokinni, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Leomie Anderson, Shirley Ballas, Steph McGovern and Una Healy.
A source has now told The Sun: ‘It got excellent reviews and was a brilliant production. Bosses were happy with its performance.
‘Yet if it is recommissioned, cuts will 100 per cent be made and this could include talent salaries — both Holly and Bear as well as the celebs.
‘All measures are being explored. As to location, think Clacton or Croatia, not Costa Rica.’
MailOnline contacted Netflix, Holly Willoughby and Bear Grylls’ representatives for comment.
The Four Seasons is available to stream on Netflix.
