Rockstar Games has slipped a new present under the Christmas tree in Red Dead Redemption 2.
We know that it isn’t the gift you asked for – everyone wants that second GTA VI trailer.
Sadly, it looks like we’ll be seeing in the new year without it.
While we have to pretend to celebrate in spite of our pain, we do have something action-packed to keep us occupied over the Christmas period.
Assuming you can muster the strength to game.
Rockstar has announced A Merry Call to Arms on social media, saying, “Not everyone can be trusted to keep the peace during the holidays. Fight off rogues in a new holiday variation of Red Dead Online’s A Merry Call to Arms.”
You can expect bonuses, weekly events, new clothing – just about everything an outlaw could want from life.
By joining in the festivities, you can earn “2X RDO$, XP, and Gold”.
It’s not the present you asked Santa for, but it’s not exactly a lump of coal either. Besides, it’s the thought that counts.

A Merry Call to Arms will run until 6 January, so you have quite a bit of time to participate.
That said, rewards for weekly tasks won’t hang around, as you might have guessed, so the longer you take to join in, the more you’ll lose out on.
Red Dead Redemption 2 fans should be excited about this, yet all they can think about is GTA VI. Or rather, the lack of GTA VI content they’ve been given.
Should the only gift you want this Christmas be the chance to save Arthur from his sorry fate, there’s actually a mod that’ll make your wishes come true.
This fan-made mission will allow you to save Arthur. Hurray!
However you choose to spend your Christmas, Rockstar has plenty of small presents waiting for you in A Merry Call to Arms.
