It’s looking as if The Elder Scrolls fans are finally set to be rewarded for their patience.

Sorry, there’s still no update on the development status of The Elder Scrolls VI but it does look as if the heavily rumoured Oblivion remake is set to land imminently.

Reportedly made in Unreal Engine 5, insiders are claiming that it’ll be revealed in the coming weeks for a June launch.

Naturally, I have to urge you to take this with a pinch of salt, but this does feel like a case of there being no smoke without fire.

Alongside this, a Skyrim remake has also surfaced and in fact, it’s available now although this one is fan-made.

That being said, fans are capable of working wonders these days. I’ve played several Skyrim mods that I could easily have mistaken for official DLC.

As reported by DSOGaming, the project is the work of Greg Coulthard who has completely remade the entirety of Skyrim’s map in Unreal Engine 5.

Coulthard first dropped the remake in December of last year but has since updated it, adding over 1,000 new textures.

Before you get ahead of yourself, this is a map-only remake for the time being.

It would be quite something to single-handedly remake every aspect of the original game so for now, Coulthard’s remake is without any actual gameplay.

I’m sure that’ll change in the future as the creator keeps beavering away.

While you won’t be able to complete any quests, you will be able to explore the entirety of Skyrim’s map, reimagined using the glorious Unreal Engine 5.
