If you’re looking for some light entertainment this weekend that doesn’t break the break, you’ve come to the right place.
If you’re hoping for that something to feature the high fantasy flavours of The Witcher and Final Fantasy franchises then we’re cooking on gas, my friend.
Developed by ER Studios, Limitless is an upcoming open-world, story-driven RPG set to launch in 2026.
“Kate … 2026? You just said you could offer entertainment this weekend,” is what I’m imagining you’re saying.
Well, that’s because developers have dropped a brand new demo that you can currently download and sample for free on Steam.
I’ll admit that it’s a tad unusual to launch a demo this far in advance but as an indie title, I’m imagining developers are hoping they’ll be able to drum up some hype around the game.
Steam Next Fest is next month after all, which is what this demo has been launched to coincide with.
In fact, it’s also been revealed that Limitless and ER Studios are being supported by the Xbox Developer Acceleration Program.
That essentially entails Xbox partnering with and supporting underrepresented developers.
As for the game itself, well, it’s set within the “enchanting Realm of Eternity”.
“Master dynamic combat with a revolutionary weapon stance system, solve elemental puzzles, and lead a team of unique heroes in a battle against the Ravi to save a world on the brink of destruction,” reads the synopsis.
I have to say, the game is looking very nice indeed from the trailer.
In the demo, you’ll be able to experience two quests which should take you between 40 minutes and an hour.
One of those is a solo quest and the other is one you’ll undertake alongside a game companion, giving you a feel for both styles of mission.
I’m sure when Steam Next Fest gets underway, this one will pop off, but why don’t you get ahead of the trend and give it a whirl this weekend?
