Someone has spotted a tiny error in Black Mirror’s Hotel Reverie episode, and it’s so insanely quick that you definitely didn’t notice.
The third episode is about an A-list Hollywood actor called Brandy Friday who is asked to recreate an old 1940s romantic movie using a futuristic new technology.
It lets her step right into the film and interact with digital replicas of the movie’s original characters, and the actress falls in love with the lead, Dorothy Chambers.
When an employee spills his coffee in the studio, Brandy gets stuck in the black and white film and everyone except her and Dorothy freezes on the spot.
After the audio and video feed are cut off, Brandy and Dorothy continue to live in this still-frozen virtual world for several months, and that’s where the error comes in.
One very eagle-eyed viewer has noticed that one of the ladies in the background blinks when they are supposed to be completely frozen still.
They shared the clip on TikTok, saying: “My housemate spotted this straight away when we was watching the episode.”
Take a look at the error:

I mean, it’s a little harsh to expect the Black Mirror actors not to even blink. They are real people after all, but they were supposed to be frozen in the scene.
“OMG GOD FORBID!!!” one person commented on TikTok.
Another joked: “That’s that episode ruined then.”
“Got forbid a frozen woman in a TV show has eyelids,” someone else added.
If that’s the only error people can find in the new season, I think Netflix has done pretty well!
Emma Corrin, who plays Dorothy, Corrin, told Netflix’s Tudum the ending highlights “the beauty of these two people who found each other in this extraordinary circumstance”.
However, she said it’s sad because “the version of Dorothy that Brandy is talking to still exists in this bubble”.
