People were convinced that Player 246 was still alive in Squid Game – and now there’s even more proof.

He’s the dad of the little girl in the strawberry hat who is extremely unwell. We first met them at the theme park, then found out he went into the games.

At the end of season two, when all the players started rebelling against the games, we saw Player 246 begging for mercy in front of one of the guards.

“Please don’t shoot,” he said. “I have a sick daughter at home.” He was then shot, but people think the guard was Shooter 11 and she didn’t actually kill him.

Shooter 11, Kang No-eul, used to work as a bunny at the theme park and met the sick little girl, so we know they are linked in some way.

Now, the actress who plays her, Park Gyu-young, just shared what looks like a massive season three spoiler on Instagram that seemingly proves he’s not dead.

She posted a behind-the-scenes picture of herself dressed in her pink guard costume on the Squid Game set and you can see a man in another guard costume behind her.

It’s a bit tricky to see his face, but people are convinced it’s Lee Jin-wook, aka Player 246. That would mean he becomes a guard in season three!

The storyline would certainly make sense. Shooter 11 will help Player 246 escape the games and disguise him as a guard so he can be reunited with his daughter.

After viewers picked up on the apparent spoiler, the actress deleted the photo straight away, which makes the whole thing even more suspicious.

If you look back at the scene where Player 246 is shot, the camera purposely makes it so we can’t actually see if he dies or even gets injured.

It could have been a blank bullet for all we know, or perhaps the guard did shoot him but not in a fatal area.

Will Player 246 really come back as a guard in season three? We’ll have to wait and see!
