Filming is officially WRAPPED and the wait is almost over. Check out the new cast reveal including Nico, Bianca, and the terrifying Titan Atlas below! 👇🔥

The lightning has struck thrice. In a move that has stunned the streaming industry, Disney+ has officially confirmed that Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 will premiere in late 2026—just one year after the conclusion of Season 2. The announcement, which first appeared as a mid-credits surprise during the Season 2 finale on January 21, marks the first time the high-budget fantasy series has moved to an annual release cycle.
Executive producer Albert Kim confirmed on March 13, 2026, that principal photography has officially wrapped in Vancouver. The production, which began in August 2025, represents a major milestone for the franchise, as it has now officially surpassed the original Logan Lerman film series in terms of narrative longevity.
Adapting ‘The Titan’s Curse’
Season 3 will adapt Rick Riordan’s third novel, The Titan’s Curse, widely considered a tonal turning point for the series. Moving from the summer-camp aesthetic of the first two seasons to a snowy, winter-set quest, the plot follows Percy (Walker Scobell) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) as they attempt to rescue two powerful new demigods from a boarding school.
The mission takes a devastating turn when a goddess is captured and Annabeth goes missing, forcing Percy to team up with the Hunters of Artemis. “The stakes are much more global this time,” Rick Riordan shared in a statement. “We are introducing the Hunters of Artemis and the Di Angelo siblings, characters who change the trajectory of the Great Prophecy forever.”
A Powerhouse New Cast
The production has spared no expense in rounding out the Olympian and Titan ranks for the “Endgame” of the first trilogy arc:
The Di Angelos: Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie have been cast as Nico and Bianca Di Angelo, the mysterious children of Hades.
The Gods: Dafne Keen (Deadpool & Wolverine) joins as the goddess Artemis, with Kate McKinnon playing a “multi-form” Aphrodite and Hubert Smielecki debuting as the sun god, Apollo.
The Villains: Holt McCallany (Mindhunter) stars as the primary antagonist, the Titan Atlas, while David Costabile appears as the manticore, Dr. Thorn.
Returning series regulars include Aryan Simhadri (Grover), Charlie Bushnell (Luke), and Tamara Smart, whose role as Thalia Grace will expand significantly as she grapples with her return to human form.
The “Percabeth” Factor
Social media has been ablaze since the release of the “First Dance” teaser. The clip features Percy and Annabeth at a school dance, swaying awkwardly to Stephen Sanchez’s “Until I Found You.”
On Reddit’s r/camphalfblood, fans are calling the chemistry between Scobell and Jeffries “the heart of the show,” noting that the decision to shorten the hiatus between seasons has allowed the actors to remain age-appropriate for their characters’ evolving relationship. Leah Sava Jeffries teased that Season 3 will explore Annabeth’s “newfound maturity,” even as the character spends a significant portion of the story separated from the group.
Release Outlook and Post-Production
While an exact date remains under wraps, the “This Year” tag in the credits and the March filming wrap strongly point toward a December 2026 premiere. This aligns with Disney’s established winter release pattern for the franchise, positioning Percy Jackson as their premiere holiday tentpole for the third time in four years.
As post-production begins on the heavy-VFX sequences—including the iconic “holding the sky” moment—the message to demigods worldwide is clear: the war with Kronos is no longer looming. It’s here.
