The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is an exceptional game.
Even though its beauty doesn’t shine quite as brightly as it once did, it’ll forever be deemed one of the best in The Legend of Zelda series.
With such a long list of accolades associated with its name, it’s unsurprising that a remake of the game has been requested for years.
There’s already an enhanced version of the classic title, but fans want something more.
While this remake isn’t a Nintendo creation, it delivers exactly what we’ve been dreaming of.
It’s simply stunning.
Created by CryZENx, this Ocarina of Time remake transforms the game, helping to bring it up to date and in line with graphics we’ve seen in newer Legend of Zelda releases.
But before you fear that modern graphics have tainted the charm of the title, its creator has managed to avoid such an issue.
“Great job. I think you hit the mark stylistically. Everything looks right,” said @guillaumep7660.
“This looks incredible! Amazing job!” added @annythesilent6697. “The funny thing is that for 8-year-old-me it looked just like that back in 1998.”
As exquisite as it is, there are concerns surrounding an official remake.
Fans are torn over what it would mean for both the original game and the franchise as a whole.
Would it even work?
Seeing this fan-made project, we’re inclined to say it would. However, there’s a big difference between seeing a gorgeous showcase of what could be and actually playing a remake.
Nostalgia is a double-edged sword, when all is said and done.
For now, it doesn’t seem to be something we need to worry about. Besides, we have this remake to captivate us.
“Amazing and beautiful” perfectly summarises how we feel about this project as well.
Excuse me while I sit and watch it once again.
