It’s only been two weeks since Matthew Gray Gubler released his second book, and he’s already celebrating a major feat in relation to it.
The Criminal Minds alum published his children’s novel The Little Kid With the Big Green Hand on September 26, and it looks like a lot of folks were ready to read it because he posted a video from his Big Green Hand book tour on Instagram to announce that his newest literary title made it on the New York Times bestseller list for the week of October 15.
What’s more, this marks his second time receiving the recognition after achieving the same feat with his first book Rumple Buttercup: A Story of Bananas, Belonging and Being Yourself in April 2019.
“You guys have made the Little Kid With the BIG Green 𧀠a New York Times Bestseller,” he emotionally wrote on October 5. “Words canât thank you enough â€ïž so Iâll just bounce instead.”
Although it’s presently unclear whether the 68 Kill actor has wrapped up his weeks-long tour, we do know he made one very important stop along the way. Uploading a sweet photo alongside his former Criminal Minds co-star Joe Mantegna on Instagram, Matthew disclosed that he wasn’t going to let any unforeseen circumstances stop him from celebrating the big news with Joe.
“Itâs gonna take more than a flat tire and broken fan belt to keep me from making this delivery,” he affectionately captioned the post on October 8, and fans couldn’t get enough.
“AHHHHHHH WE WERE MISSING THEIR DAILY REUNION,” one wrote. “Awe. I love this. A Criminal Minds reunion. My two favorites from the show,” said another. “Another Joebler reunion. Love you guys so much,” someone else said.
Congrats, Matthew, and looking forward to seeing what else he has up his sleeve!
