Memorable: Jodie Foster has revealed she sometimes worries her performance in The Silence of the Lambs will be the last time she is ‘at her peak’
She said: ‘Where did the time go? I’ve been doing a few things to celebrate with Tony. We both have this feeling of sharing this extraordinary moment where we were both at our best.
Despite her lengthy career as an actress and director, Jodie admitted the coronavirus lockdown has put her off watching either films or television.
She said: ‘Strangely, I got sick of watching TV about six months into the pandemic. I even got tired of watching movies, which is something I’d never experienced before. I’ve become a bit more judicial about what I watch.’

Jodie has directed episodes of shows including Orange Is The New Black, Black Mirror and House of Cards and said she believes the ‘best work in Hollywood’ is currently being done on streaming platforms.
The actress is mother to sons Charles, 22, and Kit, 19, and revealed one of them may be taking after her as they have expressed an interest in a film career, however she wouldn’t say which one.
The star also said she has no plans to ever write a memoir, saying she doesn’t want to share her life ‘with other people for posterity’.
However, Jodie admitted she sometimes worries her children could ‘lose the essence’ of who she is, but hopes it will live on in what she has taught them.

Co-stars: Jodie told how she has been celebrating the films 30th anniversary with Anthony, who played cannibal serial killer Hannibal Lecter
It comes after Jodie and Anthony reunited last month to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of The Silence of the Lambs.
The former co-stars took part in a one-hour remote conversation for Variety’s Actors on Actors series.
Jodie said: ‘It’s a life-changing adventure, that movie, for both of us. I’m sure you still get people who come up to you and say, “Would you like a nice Chianti?”‘
The 83-year-old Welshman replied: ‘Oh yeah, they do.’
Jodie (born Alicia) said that uncovering Clarice was mostly about nailing her rural West Virginia accent.

Jodie said: ‘Sometimes I think, “Oh my gosh. I hope that’s not the last time I will be at my peak.” It’s a tough one to top’
‘She had this quietness. There was almost a shame that she wasn’t bigger, that she wasn’t stronger, this person trying to overcome the failure of the body they were born in,’ the former child star explained.
‘I understood that was her strength. In some ways, she was just like the victims – another girl in another town. The fact that she could relate to those victims made her the hero.’
The critically-acclaimed classic went on to win the big five Academy Awards – best picture, best director (Jonathan Demme), best actor (Hopkins), best actress (Foster), and best adapted screenplay (Ted Tally).
