Snoop Dogg has brought his signature charisma and a unique perspective to The Voice since joining its 26th season in 2024. The legendary rapper has already made a mark and building an eclectic team of artists spanning various genres. His smooth feedback during the Blind Auditions and his entertaining camaraderie with fellow coaches have resonated with viewers. However, fans were disheartened to learn that Snoop initially planned to coach for only one season.
In a surprising twist, comments made during the October 7 episode suggest the possibility that Snoop might reconsider.
Snoop Dogg Reflects on His One-Season Plan
Throughout its history, The Voice has welcomed a rotating cast of music superstars, with several, including Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, and Dan + Shay, serving as one-season mentors. Snoop Dogg appeared poised to follow this tradition. According to an interview with OK! Magazine, Snoop initially saw his coaching stint as a one-time opportunity. However, his experience on the show appears to have surpassed expectations.
“I had a great time on The Voice. I ain’t gonna front, but when I did the contract, I thought, ‘I’m gonna do this for one year and get up outta here,’” Snoop said. “Once I got to the set, I fell in love with Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani and, unbelievably, me and Michael Bublé are like lost brothers.”
The chemistry between Snoop and his fellow coaches has been a standout feature of the season, particularly his unlikely bond with Michael Bublé. Their dynamic and shared approach to mentoring have added a compelling layer to the show.

A Hint of What’s to Come?
During the October 7 episode, Snoop Dogg shared feedback with contestant Tiffany Taylor, who performed Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” Despite failing to turn a chair, she received words of encouragement from the rap icon.
“What I would have rather have heard you sing, something from Miki Howard or Chaka Khan or something with that soulfulness,” Snoop advised. “Like, we have to not be afraid to go soulful when we get on this show. So when you come back, grab something out them files so that way I can hit that button fast for you.”
While the statement may have been off-the-cuff, it raised speculation about a potential return. If Snoop wants to be there for Tiffany’s comeback, it suggests he may not have entirely closed the door on future seasons.

Snoop Dogg’s Love for The Voice
Snoop has also expressed genuine admiration for the show, citing its emotional and motivational aspects. “It’s such a great show. [There’s] a lot of great moments on there. It’s a lot of emotion, inspiration, motivation, all of the above,” he shared. “And it’s me coaching, doing what I love to do — to give back to artists who are trying to do something with their career.”
What’s Next for The Voice?
Although Snoop Dogg’s return remains uncertain, it’s confirmed he won’t be part of Season 27, which will feature Adam Levine, John Legend, Michael Bublé, and Kelsea Ballerini. Fans can look forward to the show’s Spring 2025 premiere as they await further updates on whether the D-O-double-G will grace the Big Red Chairs again.
