Miami Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill shared a frustrated reaction in the Dolphins’ locker room after losing to the Houston Texans in Week 15.

“[Expletive] man,” Tyreek Hill yelled in the locker room after the loss, per the Miami Herald’s Omar Kelly.

The loss dropped the Dolphins to 6-8 on the season, meaning that they have to win out to finish over .500, and they are currently a long shot to make the playoffs.

“This was supposed to be our year,” Hill said.

According to NFL.com, the Dolphins have just a six percent chance of making the playoffs ahead of their Week 16 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. The Dolphins also play the Cleveland Browns (Week 17) and New York Jets (Week 18) in the regular season.

All three of those teams are under .500, so the Dolphins may have a chance to at least finish with a 9-8 record, even if they do end up missing the playoffs for the first time since Mike McDaniel took over as the franchise’s head coach.

The 2024 season has been a rough one for the Dolphins, as they lost starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to a concussion in their Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

That put Miami in a tough spot immediately, as Tagovailoa missed four games and Miami went just 1-3 in those matchups, playing Skylar Thompson, Tyler Huntley and Tim Boyle at quarterback.

Hill has also had a tough season after back-to-back campaigns where he finished with over 1,700 receiving yards for the Dolphins.

In the 2024 season, Hill has just 67 catches for 805 yards and five touchdowns in 14 games. He’s averaging just 57.5 receiving yards per game – his lowest average since his rookie season.

Hill had 119 catches in both the 2022 season and the 2023 season, but there’s a good chance he falls short of 100 total catches in the 2024 season, unless he’s able to catch 33 passes over Miami’s next three games.

After making the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, the Dolphins certainly wanted to break through and win a playoff game in the 2024 campaign. Now, there’s a chance Miami will be looking to regroup this coming offseason to figure out how it can return to a high level of play – like it had in the 2023 season when it had an 11-6 record – in the future.
