As amazing as many fans found Hogwarts Legacy to be, the nature of it being a single player RPG is that there is only so many times you can replay it before you run out of content to explore.
However, with Harry Potter fans eager for more of the magical world and the comfort of the halls of the famous castle, it is no wonder that they would welcome news of yet another open-world RPG.
Luckily for them, there is a free Harry Potter inspired game available to download right now.
Inspired by titles such as Hogwarts Legacy but set in the world of Minecraft, Witchcraft and Wizardry is the result of Harry Potter crossed with the much-loved sandbox building game.
Created by a modding group known as the Floo Network, the Minecraft map was “a passion project and a labour of love.
We’re just a small group of Minecrafters who have worked tirelessly on this for countless hours. It has been a long way, it’s finally here,” the mod description reads.
In Witchcraft and Wizardry, players are able to dive in either solo or with friends and explore Hogwarts in all of its blocky glory.
Featuring custom quests as well as puzzles for players to tackle, this free-to-download mod will even allow users to explore Diagon Alley, hunt for resources and supplies and visit a bunch of iconic locations from the Harry Potter franchise.
With Hogwarts Legacy 2 reportedly being in development, it still may be a while until we see the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2023 RPG.
However, with love for the Harry Potter world showing no signs of ceasing anytime soon, it would be the perfect time to dive into Witchcraft and Wizardry and players seem to agree.
“This isn’t Minecraft anymore. You’ve just created a whole new game!” One comment read for the Witchcraft and Wizardry gameplay trailer.
Another said: “This is absolutely insane. This isn’t merely a “map”, it’s like an entire new game. It’s like what Enderal is to Skyrim. Good work!!”
