The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim looks like it could be a damn PlayStation 6 game thanks to this gorgeous graphics upgrade.
Originally released in 2011 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, due to its never-ending popularity, Bethesda Softworks has released The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on every console generation since, resulting in the popular fantasy RPG looking and performing better with each new launch.
Other than being a fantastic Elder Scrolls game in its own right, players cannot get enough of Skyrim whether it’s partaking in some ‘rags to riches’ role-playing, on the hunt for precious loot or simply getting into fisticuffs with deadly dragons.
However, in the unlikely event you get bored of Skyrim, the modding community has you covered and if you were after a stunning visual upgrade, then the ‘Screen Space Global Illumination’ mod might very well be your cup of tea.

As spotted by DSOGaming, the mod in question is created by ProfJack and the CS Team, and best of all, it’s available to download for free right now via Nexusmods.
Taking full advantage of community shaders, this mod implements ambient occlusion and indirect lighting, and it looks so good that it could pass as a PlayStation 6 game.
Sadly, with a mod of this nature and despite mods being accessible on Xbox via Bethesda’s Creation Club, ‘Screen Space Global Illumination’ is only compatible with the PC version of Skyrim.
Skyrim is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and the Nintendo Switch. Hopefully, this classic RPG should continue to keep us busy until The Elder Scrolls VI finally arrives, whenever that time might be.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is also available to Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium (at the time of writing) subscribers at no extra cost.
