Thanks to one dedicated team, The Elder Scrolls fans can now explore the world of Morrowind as they have never been able to before.
Let’s face it, The Elder Scrolls VI is so far into the future that its very announcement has become a distant memory for fans.
With Bethesda seemingly forgetting to update its fans, it is up to its creative community to take matters into their own hands by regularly releasing brand-new content for various Elder Scrolls titles such as Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.
Courtesy of the modding community, Project Tamriel Team as part of its Project Cyrodiil, Abecean Shores is a brand-new mod that aims to add part of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion’s map to Morrowind.
This massive expansion is not only free to download but also adds the port city of Anvil, new quests, characters, interiors, and much more so this will really feel as though you are playing a brand-new RPG from Bethesda.
As a result, this is the perfect way to bridge the gap until the release of The Elder Scrolls 6.
“Like Tamriel Rebuilt and Skyrim: Home of the Nords, Project Cyrodiil is a fully realized, fully playable fan-made expansion to Morrowind,” the project description reads.
“Players may travel to Cyrodiil at any level, and at any stage in their character’s journey. Like the original game, our quest content is designed to maximize roleplay and choice, and to immerse players in the world and the culture of its people.”
Abecean Shores features everything a true DLC requires such as 160 new quests, split into faction quest lines and various sidequests.
The faction quests will see you meet Thieves, Fighters, Mages and even the Imperial Legion so you will be able to interact with all manner of brand-new faces.
You can find out more about Abecean Shores in its official release trailer and, as you can expect, The Elder Scrolls fans are over the moon about this project.
“The Aylied ruins look so authentic that I thought it was Oblivion footage for a second,” one comment read.
Another said: “I did NOT completely realize this was Morrowind until I saw the character models on the docks. This looks stunning for a game made over 20 years ago.”
