About GrowNewsUS

GrowNewsUS is a digital journal on American innovation and scale, written for the people building it.

GrowNewsUS is an English-language digital journal about how things get made, grown, powered and funded in the United States. We chronicle domestic production, regenerative food networks, renewable capacity and the growth capital that helps good ideas become durable businesses, with a particular eye on the heartland and the communities beyond the coasts.

Our mission

Our belief is simple: ambition and credibility belong together. We aim to be optimistic without being breathless and rigorous without being gloomy. We do not chase clicks, and we do not sell hype. When something works, we explain why. When it does not, or when we cannot tell yet, we say so plainly.

Who we write for

Our readers are founders, plant and farm operators, investors, economic development staff, policy watchers and curious citizens. Many of you read on a phone between other tasks, so we lead with the point, keep sentences clear and put the key takeaways up front.

Our six desks

  • AgriTech and Food: precision agriculture, regenerative practice, cold chains and local food systems.
  • Clean Energy: generation, storage, grid upgrades and the projects that connect them.
  • Startup Scale: heartland startups and scaleups, and what it takes to grow past the first product.
  • AI and Manufacturing: automation, robotics and advanced production on the factory floor.
  • US Markets: venture activity, capital formation and the numbers behind them.
  • Policy and Grants: public programs, incentives and the practical path to non-dilutive funding.

Launch-edition honesty

GrowNewsUS is in its launch edition. That means many of the stories you read right now are illustrative reports, case studies and essays that show the kind of journalism we intend to publish. They are labelled as such. Where a story uses figures, we attribute them to the party reporting them, and we avoid attaching invented claims, statistics or quotations to real companies, people, agencies or universities. Quotes in illustrative pieces come from fictional sources described by role. Staff names and bylines in the launch edition are illustrative personas.

We would rather be upfront about this than let anyone mistake a scenario for a verified scoop. As the publication matures, we will say clearly when our reporting moves from illustrative to original.

Independence

Our editorial decisions are made by editors, not advertisers or subjects of our coverage. We do not sell favorable coverage or paid placement. For the full rules, see our Editorial Standards and Ethics page.
