Cookies and browser storage are small pieces of data kept by your browser. This page lists what GrowNewsUS uses so there are no surprises. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Cookies

At launch, GrowNewsUS sets no cookies of its own. We do not use cookies for advertising, analytics profiles or cross-site tracking.

What we keep in local storage

To make the site more useful, we use your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device, is not sent to our server by the site, and is only readable by pages from this site. The items are:

• Theme: whether you chose light or dark mode.
• Saved stories: the list of articles you bookmarked with the Saved feature.
• Newsletter address: an email address typed into a sign-up form. Because the mailing list is not live yet, it is held on your device only.
• Digest preferences: the topics and options you selected for the planned newsletter.

Because this information lives in your browser, it does not follow you to another device or browser, and clearing your browser data will remove it.

Third parties that may see your visit

Some resources are loaded from other providers. Fonts come from Google Fonts, and styling code comes from a content delivery network serving the Tailwind CSS library. When your browser requests these files, those providers can see your IP address and basic request details, and they handle that information under their own policies. Images are served from our own server. Our hosting provider may also record routine server logs, as described in the Privacy Policy.

How to clear what is stored

This page includes a panel that lists the items currently stored for this site and a button to clear them. Clearing removes your saved stories, theme choice, preferences and any saved newsletter address, so the site returns to its default state. You can also clear site data in your browser settings, usually under privacy or site data, or browse in a private window, which discards storage when you close it.
